Clean Hands Safe Hands Selected as a Georgia Hospital Health Services Vendor Partner

Georgia Hospital Health Services (GHHS), a subsidiary of the Georgia Hospital Association (GHA), is pleased to announce their exclusive endorsement of Clean Hands Safe Hands (CHSH), an innovative hand-hygiene monitoring solution for healthcare providers.  Adding Clean Hands Safe Hands as an approved GHHS vendor partner clearly reflects the importance that GHA places on patient safety, and hand hygiene is considered by many to be a major cause of hospital-acquired infections.

Clean Hands Safe Hands offers a cost-effective, wireless technology designed to help hospitals monitor and improve hand hygiene compliance of staff and visitors.  The system records, reminds, reports, and reacts to hand hygiene events throughout the patient care facility.  The system can be easily adapted in to meet the unique and distinct needs of hospital units, patient rooms, and even individual patients.

Clean Hands Safe Hands provides a lightweight, replacement badge reel, and identifies and captures all hand hygiene events throughout the provider’s facility.  The CHSH Sensors form a connected network that is configured to the specific compliance rules, physical layout, and workflow of each unit involved with patient care.  A natural language voice reminder activates when a staff member misses a hygiene opportunity. Accessing all cloud-stored event data, the software collects and interprets the data and provides simple, clear reports that accurately reflect the provider’s compliance and effectiveness. These summary reports can be used as tools to determine and recognize areas of excellence, as well as identify opportunities for improvement.

According to Clean Hands Safe Hands Founder and CEO Chris Hermann, the system was developed as part of a research collaboration that involved Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Georgia Institute of Technology, Emory University, the Georgia Tech Research Institute, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
